The Pérez Art Museum Miami has a collection of contemporary and modern art from around the globe from the 20th and 21st centuries. The museum's collection includes both permanent collections and special exhibitions.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden covers 83 acres of land and is in Coral Gables, 10 miles south of Downtown Miami. The garden is home to many tropical plants. Visit the butterfly garden and the sunken garden. Approximately 40 miles from Downtown Miami and away from South Beach lies Everglades National Park.
